What really happened!

After Sayid confronted the man who calls himself Henry Gale, he locked him away until it was decided what they would do with him. By the time Michael returned the following day, things were just beginning to heat up. Jack, had in a way, abandoned the situation, because he didn't know what to believe anymore. Ana Lucia took an interest in the captured Other because she had past experience with their people, but when he tried to kill her, she was having her own thoughts of murder! While sitting outside the safe, Ana shifted the gun from her left back to her right hand, over and over again. When Michael came into the room he questioned why she was holding a gun. He hadn't a clue what had been going on the two weeks he was gone. She explained how they had caught one of "the Others" and she was going to kill him, but didn't think she could bring herself to do it, after accidentally killing Shannon. Michael, enraged because they still have his son, tells her that he'll do it for her. Ana hands Michael the gun and he asks her for the combination to the safe, a split second later, after he whispers "I'm sorry" under his breath, he turns her own gun on her and shoots to kill! Not even two seconds later Libby accidentally walks in on the situation and becomes the second victim at Michael's hand! Oddly enough, Michael then opens the safe and shoots himself in the shoulder in order for Henry to be able to escape!
Later, when Michael is asked to explain what happened, he seems very nervous and determined more than ever to get his son back. It doesn't even seem to effect him that two people were murdered in front of him and he nearly could have been killed as well. He suggests that if they leave now, in a small group, it's the best chance they have of rescuing Walt. Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley tell him to slow down, they must bury their friends first. Michael gives in, and tells Jack that when they do go after Walt, it has to be the group he said, no more, no less. When Michael is later outside getting some fresh air, he pulls a piece of paper from his pocket and burns it to ashes!

The Day that Changed Everything

I was surprised the day Michael returned to camp! He ran off a couple weeks ago to try and find Walt, who I'm beginning to think will never be rescued.
He claimed to have found where "the Others" are staying and said they live like animals, have it worse off than they do, and are limited in numbers! I'm a little skeptical of this because I distinctively remember Ana-Lucia saying that they took over twenty of the tailies, therefore, they would at least have to have that many people, probably double! I mean come on, this guy Henry sure went to enough trouble to lie to us until his story proved him wrong. The sad part, is that Jack almost believed Henry, or whoever he really is! But, I guess we'll never know since he somehow escaped, killed both Ana-Lucia and Libby and shot Michael in the arm! I find it a little ironic that he escaped basically the day after Michael got back. It hasn't even been four days since we discovered he was one of them! How can this man have just murdered two innocent women? All I know is that we are up against something completely out of our league and we're apparently in their territory, which makes us more vulnerable at that.

What really happened!

After Rousseau (the french woman) gave "one of them" over to Sayid, it wasn't before long that a little torture, Sayid style, was in order. After literally beating the man who calls himself Henry Gale to a pulp, Jack intervened and they had words over how the situation was being handled. Jack, in his attempt to always see the good in people, thought that he should be trusted and intervened to tend his wouns. Henry kept repeating the same story, over and over again, but the decision was to lock him in the safe.

The mysterious Henry, sat through numerous interrogations, but to no end his story remained the same. Sayid asked Ana-Lucia if she would speak with Henry, since she has experience because she used to be a cop.

When Ana was alone with Henry she convinced him to draw a map to his so-called balloon, information that she kept from Jack and Locke. When she found Sayid to show him what she had recieved, Charlie jumped on-the-bandwagon and the three of them traveled deep into the jungle to see if this story checked out. On their journey they came across many unusual island fallacies, but the big shocker was that there was indeed a balloon to be found and a gravestone! Sayid wasn't taking any chances, so he dug the grave up and to all of their surprise, it was not a woman's body that was burried, but that of a man, a man named Henry Gale!

One of Them

The day the french woman gave Sayid a man she had captured, I thought to myself, this island can't get any stranger, but I was wrong. She said that he would lie for a very long time, but she was absolutely sure that he was one of them! He told everyone that his name was Henry Gale and that he was from Minnesota. Apparently he was traveling with his wife in a hot air balloon around the world. Now, who travels like that nowadays, and more importantly, where is his wife? At least Sayid is smart. He's locking him up in the safe inside the hatch just to be cautions. Everyone is trying to be extremely secretive about what's going on, but words on this beach-front travel fast. Sayid has already tortured this man, but his story remains the same. He claims to have buried his own wife after they crashed on the island, she apparently got sick and died of a mysterious illness she caught on the island. When Ana-Lucia talked with him she convinced Henry to draw a map to his balloon. If his story checked-out he would definitely be accepted among the fellow survivors. I overheard her talking and saw her secretly show Sayid and Charlie the map, and they took off when nobody was looking!
