What really happened!

After Sayid confronted the man who calls himself Henry Gale, he locked him away until it was decided what they would do with him. By the time Michael returned the following day, things were just beginning to heat up. Jack, had in a way, abandoned the situation, because he didn't know what to believe anymore. Ana Lucia took an interest in the captured Other because she had past experience with their people, but when he tried to kill her, she was having her own thoughts of murder! While sitting outside the safe, Ana shifted the gun from her left back to her right hand, over and over again. When Michael came into the room he questioned why she was holding a gun. He hadn't a clue what had been going on the two weeks he was gone. She explained how they had caught one of "the Others" and she was going to kill him, but didn't think she could bring herself to do it, after accidentally killing Shannon. Michael, enraged because they still have his son, tells her that he'll do it for her. Ana hands Michael the gun and he asks her for the combination to the safe, a split second later, after he whispers "I'm sorry" under his breath, he turns her own gun on her and shoots to kill! Not even two seconds later Libby accidentally walks in on the situation and becomes the second victim at Michael's hand! Oddly enough, Michael then opens the safe and shoots himself in the shoulder in order for Henry to be able to escape!
Later, when Michael is asked to explain what happened, he seems very nervous and determined more than ever to get his son back. It doesn't even seem to effect him that two people were murdered in front of him and he nearly could have been killed as well. He suggests that if they leave now, in a small group, it's the best chance they have of rescuing Walt. Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley tell him to slow down, they must bury their friends first. Michael gives in, and tells Jack that when they do go after Walt, it has to be the group he said, no more, no less. When Michael is later outside getting some fresh air, he pulls a piece of paper from his pocket and burns it to ashes!

The Day that Changed Everything

I was surprised the day Michael returned to camp! He ran off a couple weeks ago to try and find Walt, who I'm beginning to think will never be rescued.
He claimed to have found where "the Others" are staying and said they live like animals, have it worse off than they do, and are limited in numbers! I'm a little skeptical of this because I distinctively remember Ana-Lucia saying that they took over twenty of the tailies, therefore, they would at least have to have that many people, probably double! I mean come on, this guy Henry sure went to enough trouble to lie to us until his story proved him wrong. The sad part, is that Jack almost believed Henry, or whoever he really is! But, I guess we'll never know since he somehow escaped, killed both Ana-Lucia and Libby and shot Michael in the arm! I find it a little ironic that he escaped basically the day after Michael got back. It hasn't even been four days since we discovered he was one of them! How can this man have just murdered two innocent women? All I know is that we are up against something completely out of our league and we're apparently in their territory, which makes us more vulnerable at that.

What really happened!

After Rousseau (the french woman) gave "one of them" over to Sayid, it wasn't before long that a little torture, Sayid style, was in order. After literally beating the man who calls himself Henry Gale to a pulp, Jack intervened and they had words over how the situation was being handled. Jack, in his attempt to always see the good in people, thought that he should be trusted and intervened to tend his wouns. Henry kept repeating the same story, over and over again, but the decision was to lock him in the safe.

The mysterious Henry, sat through numerous interrogations, but to no end his story remained the same. Sayid asked Ana-Lucia if she would speak with Henry, since she has experience because she used to be a cop.

When Ana was alone with Henry she convinced him to draw a map to his so-called balloon, information that she kept from Jack and Locke. When she found Sayid to show him what she had recieved, Charlie jumped on-the-bandwagon and the three of them traveled deep into the jungle to see if this story checked out. On their journey they came across many unusual island fallacies, but the big shocker was that there was indeed a balloon to be found and a gravestone! Sayid wasn't taking any chances, so he dug the grave up and to all of their surprise, it was not a woman's body that was burried, but that of a man, a man named Henry Gale!

One of Them

The day the french woman gave Sayid a man she had captured, I thought to myself, this island can't get any stranger, but I was wrong. She said that he would lie for a very long time, but she was absolutely sure that he was one of them! He told everyone that his name was Henry Gale and that he was from Minnesota. Apparently he was traveling with his wife in a hot air balloon around the world. Now, who travels like that nowadays, and more importantly, where is his wife? At least Sayid is smart. He's locking him up in the safe inside the hatch just to be cautions. Everyone is trying to be extremely secretive about what's going on, but words on this beach-front travel fast. Sayid has already tortured this man, but his story remains the same. He claims to have buried his own wife after they crashed on the island, she apparently got sick and died of a mysterious illness she caught on the island. When Ana-Lucia talked with him she convinced Henry to draw a map to his balloon. If his story checked-out he would definitely be accepted among the fellow survivors. I overheard her talking and saw her secretly show Sayid and Charlie the map, and they took off when nobody was looking!

What really happened...The Other 48 days!

After Sawyer, Michael, and Jin were thrown into the pit, they were joined shortly after by a woman who identified herself by the name Ana-Lucia. When she questioned who they were, they explained how they were the survivors of a plane crash and to their surprise, her response was "815?" It turns out that the tail section of the plane crashed on the opposite side of the island, with almost 22 passengers who survived. These tailies have actually had it worse off than the other survivors. Since the first night they have been dealing with attacks from "the Others" and more than twelve of their own have been kidnapped and taken god knows where! When "the Others" came back the second time, one of them met their fate and a list was discovered that had everyone's name on it! This instantly caused trust issues between the tail survivors and their leader, Ana-Lucia, was not taking any chances. If there was a possibility that one of them was posing as a survivor she was going to figure it out. After a few more survivors died from infections, it was time to move inland and seek better sources of food for the remaining seven castaways. Ana was convinced that the trader was Nathan, but before she could figure out she was wrong, he was killed by Goodwin, the last person one would think was one of "the Others"! When Ana finally put it all together she decided to question Goodwin as to how long he was going to keep up this charade. She remembers him running out of the jungle ten minutes after the crash, he wasn't wet, he was never even on the plane! He admits to her that she is indeed right and when she inquires as to what really happened to Nathan he says that "Nathan was not a good person...that's why he wasn't on the list!" They have a bit of a struggle, which ends with Goodwin accidentally throwing himself through a wooden stake. Finally, the remaining five are safe, but they still have the first 48 days to remind them of trusting people who seem like they're harmless.

Two Sides to the Puzzle

It took not even half a week before Desmond decided to make a run for it. I guess after being locked away for so long he decided his chances were better in the jungle. Locke has made it his personal responsibility to push the button every 108 minutes. He claims it's his "destiny"! I find something peculiar about him and it might have to do with the fact that he was in a wheelchair before the crash. He wheeled passed me in the airport and last time I checked, paralysis wasn't cured overnight. I also find it odd that he hasn't shared this information with anyone. It's not my business to tell, but I know if I had been paralyzed and suddenly could walk again I would be so ecstatic I'd tell everyone I met, I mean, what a great story! The least he should do is tell our resident miracle worker, doctor Jack. He could definitely provide his medical opinion in regards to this rapid change.
Another thing that bothers me is that there seems to be a select few that get any real information around here, and the rest of us are left being the last ones to find out, or having to spy and eavesdrop to find out what's going on! I'd like to know who appointed Hurley the one in-charge of all the food in the Hatch? I certainly never got a vote, but I guess this island community doesn't believe in democracy. I just hope that Michael, Sawyer, Jin and Walt find rescue soon. Maybe in a few days I'll be drinkin mimosas and feasting on a variety of the worlds delicious flavors.

What really happened!

After Michael and the gang set off on the raft, it wasn't too long before they had the first real face-to-face encounter with "the Others". Something that appeared to be some kind of boat, showed up on the radar and when it approached them, their hope for a rescue was tarnished when these people kidnapped Walt, shot Sawyer and blew the raft to pieces, leaving Michael, Sawyer, and Jin for dead!

Meanwhile at the bottom of the hatch. Kate and Locke come across a man named Desmond who has lived in solitude for over 3 years. He claims that it all has to do with an organization called the Dharma Initiative and he must enter a code into the computer every 108 minutes in order to save the world! The code is also coincidently the same numbers Hurley used to win the lottery. Ironically, when Jack makes his way down the hatch he recalls meeting Desmond one night long ago when they both happened to be running in the same stadium. Desmond shows Locke and Jack the orientation tape that gives a basic job description of duties inside this hatch, which is known as "the Swan". The last order is to wait for one's replacement, but from the looks of things it seems that nobody is coming anytime soon. Desmond also seemed to be curious why none of the survivors had gotten sick, because he was under the impression that outside the hatch was quarantined! If this all wasn't weird enough, back at sea, Michael and Sawyer try to survive on a few broken pieces of the raft. Jin is nowhere to be found and the current drifts the other two back to the island, which they have both become too familiar. Onshore, Jin comes running at them with his arms tied behind his back screaming "others", but it is too late! About six people dressed in ragged clothes knock all three of them out and throw them into a ditch. Are they these "others" who've been terrorizing them, or like Desmond, are they people that have been here all along?

Almost Rescue

After weeks of trying to build the raft, Michael, Sawyer, Jin, and Walt finally managed to successfully get off the island. Although they were leaving the rest of us behind we were all praying they would find a rescue soon. I came close to bargaining my way onto that vessel, but my history at sea is not so hot and I trust myself better on land than water! Although I did survive a plane that crashed into the water.
While they looked for rescue at sea, Locke, and Kate the bounty hunter went exploring inside that mysterious hatch that was found. I don't know what it is about her, but she always positions herself in the middle of all the action! Strange enough, they found someone living inside the hatch, someone who had not been outside in over 31/2 years! And that's not the half of it! There is running water, electricity, and most importantly, food! Locke stopped hunting boar weeks ago and my belly has definitely felt better days. But I'm floored that an entire living space has been discovered under the jungle! Does this have some connection to "the Others"? Can we trust that this man is being honest with us about his true identity? Most importantly, what do all the creepy emblems with the word "Dharma" on them represent? I began this day anticipating a rescue, but now I'm left feeling abandoned, just like the hatch buried in the ground.
